Borp Player is a media player and a catalogue browser. It shows information about films and television — titles, descriptions, artwork, cast and official trailers — and it plays media from sources that you, the user, choose to connect to it.
The application is supplied as software only. It is not a content service. It does not host, store, upload, index, aggregate or distribute any films, series, live channels or other media, and it ships with no such content of any kind.
Until you connect a source of your own, this application shows nothing. It ships with no sources, no catalogue and no way of obtaining either: on a new installation there is no film to browse, no channel to open, and no screen to reach except the one asking you to connect something. That is not a restriction placed on you — it is what this application is. It is a player, and a player with nothing connected to it plays nothing.
Once you have connected one, what plays is whatever that source returns: a playlist address, a subscription you hold, a debrid or streaming account of your own, or another service you have chosen. The only media this application itself offers is an official trailer, streamed from the publisher that makes it public. Those sources are operated by third parties who have no connection to this application. The developer neither provides them, endorses them, controls them, monitors them, nor has any means of knowing what they return to you.
You are solely responsible for the sources you add, for the content you access through them, and for ensuring that your use complies with the laws of your country and with your agreements with any rights holder or service provider.
You agree not to use this application to access, copy, distribute or make available any material that you do not hold the right to use. If you are unsure whether a source is lawful where you live, do not add it.
Browsing is free and stays free. Adding your sources, arranging your categories, changing settings and reading this page cost nothing and always will. Playing a film or a channel requires a purchase.
There are two ways to buy and they unlock exactly the same thing: a yearly subscription, which begins with a free trial and renews automatically until you cancel it, and a one-time purchase, which does not renew and is never charged again. Nothing is held back behind a higher tier, because there is no higher tier.
All payment is handled by Apple through your Apple ID; the developer never sees your payment details. A subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and you can cancel it or see its renewal date at any time in the Apple TV's own Settings, under your Apple ID. Refunds are requested from Apple rather than from the developer, and are granted at Apple's discretion.
Prices may change. A change never applies to a purchase already made, and Apple will tell you before a subscription is charged at a new price.
The application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Catalogue information is supplied by third parties and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Playback depends on your network, your hardware and services outside the developer's control, and may fail at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this application or any third-party source connected to it — including any claim arising from material obtained through such a source.
All films, series, artwork, trademarks and other material referenced in the application remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing here grants you any right in them.
If you believe material has been made available through this application in a way that infringes your rights, please note that the developer neither hosts nor controls that material; a complaint must be addressed to the source or service that provides it. Where the developer is able to help identify the operator of such a source, it will do so on receipt of a properly substantiated request.
The application communicates with third-party services in order to function, as described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
This application is not directed at children. Catalogue information may describe material intended for adults. Where a viewer is a minor, a parent or guardian is responsible for supervising use.
These terms may be updated as the application changes; the version shown here is the one in force. You may stop using the application at any time by deleting it, which removes everything it has stored on that device. Anything kept in your iCloud stays in your iCloud until you remove it there — the Privacy Policy says what is kept and where to switch syncing off.
This application is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Apple, TMDB, or any of the other services named in the About screen.
